Award Winning Early Childhood Music and Movement classes in Bakersfield
Each week in Music Together® Mixed-Age Classes at Yellow House Music Together, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them® gather for 45 minutes of fun-filled family music time. Your teacher will lead you and the other families in music activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions (with child-friendly instruments, of course). It’s so much fun you won’t realize how much learning is taking place!
You’ll take home the award-winning music used in class, along with an illustrated songbook and other resources. As you discover new ways to play with music all week long, you’ll be supporting your child’s music-learning and overall development—even if you don’t think of yourself as a great singer or dancer.

You’ll love the Flute Song Collection!
In the Flute Song Collection, we'll get out our instruments and play along to the jazzy original "Blue St. Pat," search the "Pawpaw Patch," and climb aboard the "Train to the City." And those are only three of the twenty-five songs you'll learn, which include Music Together originals and traditional songs. In addition to classes, your tuition includes a new songbook with beautiful color illustrations for each song, a newsletter full of resources and music-making ideas, and online access to your songs through the Hello Everybody app. Each song is brought to life through colorful and engaging illustrations by award-winning artist Jaime Kim and children's book illustrator Gerald Kelley. Sing, Dance and Drum Along with Us!
We hope you'll join us this fall with the Alligator Collection, which includes drumming patterns from Guinea, West Africa. These patterns often accompany a song and dance called "Kakilambe" a mask-dance song performed annually by the Baga people of Guinea to celebrate life and the growth of crops. We'll clap, stomp, and drum along to the lively beat of "Let Me Hear You" and do some zydeco line dancing in "Alligator Zydeco." And "Alligator Slide" will give us a chance to experience a day in the life of an alligator. All 20 selections in this collection have been chosen and arranged specifically to support your child's music development. Join us with you big kids this fall!
